Peshmerga “those who confront death” symbolize those who sacrifice their lives for their country and people for a better world for all. That is why we call them the sign of bravery and the fearless. Hence, we should all be proud of the strength and courage of the Peshmergas since they became a living example for the freedom of the Kurdish people and the rest of the world.

The Peshmargas at this stage went from a local to an international armed force and they fight the terrorists on behalf of the world which has become a reason for all the Kurds to be proud of them. Throughout the history Peshmarga fought to protect and get back their occupied motherland, they never aimed to gain the territory of others instead they become the only force safeguarding the East and the West in the fight against the ISIS terrorists. Peshmarga aims for a peaceful and better world for all, therefore today they are all united and willing to fight to the last drop of their blood and win the war against terrorism and bring back the safety and stability to the region, just as they did in the past with one voice from Zaxo to Xanaqeen fighting against the brutal regime of Saddam and as a result, KRG was born in 1992 with the help of the allies.

Today the world is watching Peshmergas from hundreds of kilometers fighting the terrorists, and the West of Kurdistan is another mission of theirs and once they got into Kobani the balance of the war changed to the advantage of our sisters and brothers fighters in West of Kurdistan.

Peshmergas have shown their capabilities to the world as they proudly managed to protect their territory as well as liberating many places under the hands of the ISIS terrorists and this is all have been confirmed and talked about by the local and international media through live TV coverage, radio broadcasting, newspapers and social media such as Facebook and Twitter. The BBC, CNN, ABC, Washington Post, New York Times, Guardian, The Telegraph and Der-Spiegel were amongst the biggest international news agencies and international media covering the news and following the situation.

Accordingly, the world got to the point of believing in the Peshmargas and started backing them up in the fight against terrorism. Many Government Officials including the Presidents, Prime Ministers and Ministers from different countries visited Kurdistan Region to reassure the Kurdish leadership of continuous international military support by providing arms and training to the Kurdish Forces. Those countries include USA, Australia, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Iran and Albania.

Today the Kurdistan Region aims to further advance its Armed Forces by providing them with better military equipment and the necessary training they need in order to become a stronger and a more professional force to be able to lead the fight on their own against the terrorist organizations now and in the future.

The Kurdish people have shown their support for the Peshmargas and have conveyed the message that the Kurdish nation is proud and honored by their bravery and courage. They have become a force of freedom that fights against terrorist organizations who attempt to drag the world into the darkness and ruin the dream of the Kurdish people for an independent Kurdistan. The Kurdish nation has also shown its support for the Kurdistan Region’s President Masoud Barzani and the Prime Minister Nichervin Idris Barazni for their wise political leadership.

Today, with the help of allies, the Peshmargas have not let the terrorist plans and aims succeed and the credits goes to those who have sacrificed their lives to protect the land of Kurdistan and for a safer world. The Peshmerga has now more than 1000 martyrs. Kurdistan’s future and present is and will be protected and safeguarded by the Peshmargas: “a name as big as the mountains of Kurdistan”.
