Early in 2018, Jasmine Guillory’s novel The Wedding Date brought romantic comedy back into the mainstream after a long (too long!) drought. Her popular follow-up, The Proposal, puts a freelance writer in the public spotlight when her boyfriend of only five months proposes to her via the scoreboard at a Dodgers game. When she turns him down, the backlash is out of control, even as she finds the one guy she actually might want to marry.
At the beginning of February, The Proposal was picked as a Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick. And readers are already eagerly anticipating The Wedding Party, due out in July. While all three books are linked, any one can be read on its own.
Guillory tells us below about the books she’s read and loved lately, ranging from novels to nonfiction.

These three books are very different, but one thing they had in common was that once I started reading them, I couldn’t stop, and when I finished, I couldn’t stop telling everyone I knew to read them. —Jasmine Guillory
